Sela knocked out by Tipsarevic

After recording his first Grand Slam win in two years, Dudi Sela was knocked out in the second round of the US Open on Thursday night, losing 6-4, 6-4, 6-1 to Janko Tipsarevic.

After recording his first Grand Slam win in two years, Dudi Sela was knocked out in the second round of the US Open on Thursday night, losing 6-4, 6-4, 6-1 to Janko Tipsarevic.
Sela, ranked No. 77 in the world, had numerous chances in the first two sets, but converted just two of 13 break points and was sent packing by Tipsarevic (21) after two hours and 12 minutes.
Late Thursday, Julia Glushko (128) faced Sachia Vickery (238) in the second round of the women’s singles, looking to build on her first ever victory in a Grand Slam main draw.
Andy Ram and Yoni Erlich moved on to the second round of the men’s doubles in New York on Thursday, defeating No. 11 seeds Santiago Gonzalez and Scott Lipsky 6-2, 6-3.
Ram and Erlich, who won back-toback tournament titles on the Challenger circuit ahead of the tournament, have not advanced past the second round of a Grand Slam event together since Wimbledon 2008.
After losing in the first round of the qualifiers despite being the No. 1 seed, Shahar Pe’er was knocked out in the first round of the doubles on Thursday.
Pe’er and Lourdes Dominguez Lino lost 6-4, 7-6 to Cara Black and Marina Erakovic.
