For the second time in 48 hours Taras Shcherenko set a new Israeli junior record in the 400 meters hurdles on Friday, clocking a time of 51.35 seconds to finish in sixth position at the World Junior Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland.
The 18-year-old, who set his previous personal best of 51.44s in the heats on Wednesday, was the first Israeli runner to race a final at the junior championships on Friday.
