National team coach Dror Kashtan dropped Portsmouth striker Ben Sahar from the Israel squad for next Wednesday's friendly match against the Ivory Coast at Ramat Gan. The 19-year-old Sahar has yet to play in an official match for Pompey since making his loan move from Chelsea in the summer, and has been left out of the team's squad in all but two matches. Despite being shelved by Kashtan on Thursday, Sahar will nevertheless play at Ramat Gan next week, as Under-21 coach Moti Ivanir has made the most of the opportunity and has called him up to the his team's friendly against Serbia earlier Wednesday. Next week's friendly is the first of two the national team will play before it hosts Greece on March 28 and visits Athens just four days later. On February 11, Hungary's national team will visit Israel. The Ivory Coast will be bringing all its big stars to Israel next week. Chelsea's Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou, Arsenal's Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Eboue and Tottenham's Didier Zokora, are just some of the names in the Ivorians' star-studded squad. The entrance fee for Wednesday's matches will be a bargain NIS 10.
