Start off by taking the cable cars to the grottoes hidden underground. The ride takes approximately two minutes with the cars descending from a height of 70 meters above sea level at a steep angle of 60 degrees. The grottoes are a natural wonder and the length of the walking track at the site is around 200 meters. While exploring the grottoes make sure to check out the light and sound show to hear about the historical and geographical significance of the site.
No trip would be complete without also taking the "small train" (which is in fact a motorized vehicle that travels on the road) that goes to Ahziv and back again, passing the route of the railroad track from the British Mandate period.While at the site be sure to take in the natural beauty spots and visit the Mitzpor Bird's-eye Lookout, The Elephant Leg natural statue and the The Fossilized Cliff. There is also a souvenir shop and restaurant located at the site. To reach Rosh Hanikra, travel north on Route 4 to the north-western most point of Israel, which is a ten minute ride north of Nahariya.To enter the site costs NIS 45 for an adult. Children up to 18, senior citizens, disabled people and soldiers all pay NIS 35.
