TRIPOLI - A huge explosion shook the area around Muammar Gaddafi's Bab al-Aziziya compound in central Tripoli on Tuesday, sending a column of grey smoke into the sky.
The Libyan capital has come under increased attack by NATO bombers in recent days, with strikes every few hours. A Reuters correspondent in the capital said the impact appeared to be in the vicinity of the leader's residential compound, which has been struck several times in recent weeks.
