Utah Representative John Curtis [R] chose an original way to mark the 40th anniversary of the signature of the Israeli-Egyptian peace treaty on Thursday when he presented Congress with a framed edition of the Jerusalem Post from March 27, 1979.
Rep. John Curtis holds up a copy of The Jerusalem Post (!!) 1979 edition marking treaty signing between Israel and Egypt during hearing with SOS Pompeo about prospects for peace in the Middle East. Curtis, who was living in Jerusalem at the time that the treaty was signed, was 19 years old and kept the issue all these years, Tweeted Laura Kelly of the Jewish Insider.
Curtis presented the edition in response to a speech in which US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo discussed peace in the Middle East.
