Evangelical leader Cardoza-Moore to Trump: Investigate Ilhan Omar

“If an organization that seeks the demise of America has managed to infiltrate Congress, it might be time for the Commander in Chief to take action."

Evangelical Christian leader Laurie Cardoza-Moore has asked US President Donald Trump to order an investigation into Congresswoman Ilhan Omar and her alleged ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.
Cardoza-Moore, president of Proclaiming Justice to The Nations (PJTN) and show host of “Focus On Israel,” which reaches a global weekly audience of more than 2 billion viewers, made the plea at a press briefing to the 4,000 media professionals at the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) convention in California earlier this week.
“If an organization that seeks the demise of America has managed to infiltrate Congress, it might be time for the Commander in Chief to take action,” Cardoza-Moore said. “We cannot afford to be silent, with terror supporters in Congress.”
Cardoza-Moore recently launched a petition calling on Omar to be ousted from Congress. Tens of thousands of Americans have signed that petition. She has also made similar requests to investigate Omar to the attorney general and House speaker, though no action has been taken.
In a direct message to Trump, Cardoza-Moore noted that “two weeks ago we petitioned Attorney General [William] Barr to launch a full and thorough investigation into Ilhan Omar’s ties to Muslim Brotherhood front groups and her fundraising activities for CAIR and Islamic Relief USA. We have also petitioned Speaker Pelosi to remove Ilhan Omar from Congress because of these associations and her antisemitic attacks.”
CAIR is the Council on American-Islamic Relations. In 2007, CAIR was listed as an unindicted co-conspirator in the case that found Holy Land Foundation responsible for siphoning over $12 million to Hamas. Also, in a 2009 ruling, US District Court Judge Jorge A. Solis determined that CAIR is Hamas. Omar spoke at a CAIR fundraiser late last month.
“President Trump, I am respectfully asking you, sir, to charge AG Barr to execute this request,” Cardoza-Moore continued. “Ilhan Omar has repeatedly made antisemitic statements that could incite violence against our Jewish communities and the State of Israel.”
There are several petitions circulating around the web calling for Omar to be ousted from her public position. A few weeks ago, for example, the organization Stop Antisemitism launched a campaign on Change.org to investigate these same ties. Change.org flagged that petition because “statements in this petition may be contested,” according to the bar that now runs at the top of that petition.
Omar has come under scrutiny for her positions on Israel, which include support of the Israel boycott movement, or BDS. She has also tweeted several statements that both Democrats and Republicans say are antisemitic, including accusing American Jews of dual loyalty and claiming that the AIPAC lobby pays politicians to be pro-Israel.
