A new photography exhibition, “Uruguay, Approach to National Identity,” – at the Main Library of Tel Aviv University – offers visitors the chance to learn about Uruguay’s customs, traditions and recreational activities through artistic and landscape pictures, both urban and rural. Uruguay offers a wide diversity of natural landscapes in perfect balance, with a stable climate year-round, rolling pastures, invigorating beaches and care for the environment. The exhibition reveals the beauty of Uruguay and the reason why Uruguayans are so renowned for being good hosts, hospitable, friendly and always ready to lend a helping hand to visitors. In order to reproduce the moments that have shaped the collective memory of Uruguayans, the country’s embassy has enlisted Julio and Héctor Testoni, two of Uruguay’s most prominent photographers.The exhibition is open through June 17.
