The 5th Biennale for Drawing in Israel explores the medium of drawing and maps the diverse spectrum of themes and styles. As in previous biennials, “Traces V” will comprise several exhibitions, staged by independent curators in artistic venues throughout central Jerusalem, under the title of the main biennale exhibition “Beyond Paper.”
In addition to the main exhibition at the Jerusalem Artists’ House, the collaborating venues – Beit Ticho, the Jerusalem Print Workshop, Barbur and Agrippas 12 – will stage parallel exhibitions reflecting on and responding to the concept of the main exhibition. During the course of the biennale, there will be an additional set of events, such as performance events at the Mamuta Art and Media Center, a collaboration with Harama internet magazine, as well as gallery talks and tours.
More than 90 artists will take part in the biennale. All exhibition venues are open to the public free of charge.
The biennale runs through March 1. For more info visit www.art.org.il.
