Beit Lessin is hosting a German production of an Israeli play, Savyon Librecht's The Banality of Love. It's the story of the strange, long-lasting love affair between Jewish thinker and intellectual Hannah Arendt and Nazi philosopher Martin Heidegger. The drama premiered to good reviews at Beit Lessin in January. Banality opened in Bonn in 2007. The current production is a collaboration between the Dortmund and Muenster Theaters. It plays in German with Hebrew supertitles at the ZOA House in Tel Aviv on June 8 and 9.
