Israel Museum confers prizes

The Israel Museum is the largest cultural institution in the State of Israel and is ranked among the leading art museums in the world.

The Israel Museum, Jerusalem, is conferring its Prizes in Art and Design for 2008 on Wednesday, April 2, at 8 p.m. at Ticho House. This year's winners will be awarded the Israel Museum's prestigious prizes in a variety of categories. The Sandberg Prize for Israeli Art will go to Guy Ben-Ner; the IDB Group Prize for an Israeli Artist goes to Tamar Raban; Shahar Marcus wins the Beatrice S. Kolliner Award for a Young Israeli Artist; Reuven Milon and David Harris will receive the Enrique Kavlin Photography Prize; the Gérard Lévy Prize for Research and Development goes to Gaston Zvi Ickowicz; the Sandberg Grant for Research and Development will be given to Yaara Rosner and Ido Bruno; the Jacob Pins Award for Israeli Printmaking Artist goes to Asaph Ben Menahem; the Crate and Barrel Israeli Product Design Award for the Home and Its Surroundings goes to Tal Gur, Na'ama and Assaf Varshavski of Segol Design; and in the student category, Esti Bortz, Gilli Kuchik, and Gilad Zaafrany will be honored.
