In a salute to the residents of the South, the 2009 Israel Theater Prize ceremony will take place this year on April 3 at the new home of the Beersheva Theater in the city's Performing Arts Center. The nominations in 19 categories will be announced February 19. The winners are chosen by the 120-member ITP Academy. Moshe Kapten is the director and Channel 2 will broadcast the event.
