Kayma Gallery hosts two new shows

One show displays the woodcuts of Shoshana Heimann for the first time as a comprehensive exhibit.

The Kayma Gallery in Jaffa's flea market is opening two new exhibitions on Saturday. One displays the woodcuts of Shoshana Heimann for the first time as a comprehensive exhibit. It addresses themes of love, nudity, childhood, family, pets and street life. Heimann studied with Israeli sculptor Rudy Lehman and died last month at 86. The second show is on the upper floor, and it is the first exposure for artist Shiri Brandes. The sound artist and autodidact painter integrates oil painting and electronic music to merge the human and computer into the robot. The exhibition will run until May 24.
