Theaters offer escape from rockets

The Gesher Theater is offering free tickets to all its plays to residents of the South on presentation of ID.

To improve morale and provide some respite from rockets for the residents of Sderot and the Gaza periphery, theaters and museums are coming to the rescue. The Gesher Theater is offering free tickets to all its plays to residents of the South on presentation of ID; the Habima National Theater will give free tickets to southern residents on presentation of ID to 39 Steps, August: Osage County, Key Player, A Whole Life to Live and An Old Blond Jew, at least through the end of this week; the Haifa Theater is bussing Sderot residents to a performance of the nostalgic Alterman/Willensky musical Shuk Hametziot (Bargains Galore) at the Cameri on January 11; the Eretz Israel Museum in Ramat Aviv and the Holon Cartoon Museum are offering free passes on presentation of ID; andthe Holon Children's Museum will knock 50 percent off its entrance fees to southerners.
