Adam Resurrected, a movie based on a novel by Yoram Kaniuk and starring Jeff Goldblum, will have its European premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival on February 7. The movie, which was directed by Paul Schrader, best known for writing the film scripts Taxi Driver and Raging Bull, was filmed partly in Israel and tells the story of a Holocaust survivor who moves here and is institutionalized. Goldblum, Schrader, and some of Goldblum's Israeli costars, including Hanna Laszlo and Jenya Dodina, will attend the Berlin screening. German president Horst Kohler will also be present. Adam Resurrected, which features Ayelet Zurer, will open in Israel on February 19.
