Turner Classic Movies (TCM) has decided to dedicate an entire episode of its show OFFSET to Israeli film and theater icon Gila Almagor. OFFSET typically attracts the cream of Hollywood talent, interviewing the likes of Michael Douglas, Billy Crystal and George Clooney. Almagor's interview will be held in London and will be broadcast across Europe, Middle East and Africa. "TCM is committed to interviewing local talent and Gila Almagor was an obvious choice when it comes to talent in Israel," Channel Manager Alan Musa said in a statement. "We are delighted that Gila has accepted our invitation to be interviewed in one of our OFFSETS. Her recent role in Steven Spielberg's Munich demonstrates her international status." The announcement coincides with a re-launch of TCM that plans to provide 200 hours of new content over the next two years. Almagor has also expressed her pleasure at the invitation. "I'm honored to be included in this fantastic project that promotes the industry and dedicates the content to fans of quality cinema around the world." The interview will be broadcast in Israel during the coming months.
