ALTHOUGH THE days of Michal Zueretz on Channel One appear to be numbered, the promos for her Friday night show are still splashed across the screen. Zuaretz has been mercilessly panned by the critics during the four and a half years that she's hosted scores of celebrities and lesser known guests, but thus far has managed to weather the storm. However, according to the rumors in the corridors of the Israel Broadcasting Authority, her show is slated to be axed as part of the IBA's cost-savings measures. Among the other shows that may become history is the cooking show hosted by celebrity chef Haim Cohen, who is said to be negotiating with Channels 2 and 10 for a similar show. Whether the outcome of these talks will mean his replacing an existing program on one of the two channels, or whether ratings indicate that it is worth adding yet another cooking show to the program line-up should become evident within the next three or four months. SUPER MODEL Bar Rafaeli made history by becoming the first Israeli to appear in the pages of Sports Illustrated magazine. Rafaeli, whose name, face and figure crop up all over the Internet, is apparently lined up to do a campaign for Victoria's Secret. Of course, it would be nice if she were referred to as an Israeli model abroad, but most references to the beauty allude to her romance with Hollywood heartthrob Leonard DiCaprio. WHEN BUDDING diplomats are posted abroad, they're often asked to promote cultural exchange. The current crop of foreign cadets has had the chance to meet singing sensations Idan Reichel and David D'Or, and watch them perform. In order to get a broad perspective of what Israel has to offer the world, they cadets are also scheduled to meet with theater ensembles, dance troupes, and leading writers from around the country.
