Following on from the success of Cirque du Soleil’s debut in Israel last summer, the internationally renowned acrobatic troupe is set to return to Tel Aviv in 2014 with its Quidam production, which has been seen by over 10 million people around the world.
One of Cirque du Soleil’s most popular touring events, Alegria, which took Tel Aviv's Nokia Arena by storm last summer, was seen by over 100,000 Israelis during a successful series of sold out performances. The troupe was so impressed by the Israeli crowd that they have decided to return to Tel Aviv for ten special performances of Quidam next summer between August 6-16.
Quidam tells the story of a bored girl, Zoé, whose life has lost all meaning. Seeking to fill the void of her existence, she slides into an imaginary world - the world of Quidam - where she meets characters who encourage her to free her soul. The show includes acts such as aerial contortion in silk, a breathtaking performance using skipping ropes as well as breaking with tradition by presenting the Spanish web as a group act. Some 52 acrobats from 18 different countries around the world as well as a team of actors, musicians and singers will come together to put on a magical live show.
Tickets will start at NIS 220 in accordance with seating options available at Nokia Arena. There will be a 20% discount for children under the age of 12.
Advanced sales will be available to Cirque du Soleil club members from November 12 at 9 a.m. and American Express customers from November 13 at 9 a.m. Tickets will go on sale to the general public at 9 a.m. on November 14.
