Leon Prudovsky's film Five Hours From Paris has been invited to hold its world premiere during the Toronto Film Festival, in the Discovery category for promising filmmakers. The festival will run from September 10 to 19.
The film is about a cab driver who wants to travel to Paris but is afraid of flying, and how he falls in love with a Russian music teacher while in a taxi in Bat Yam. The two eventually have to choose between love and a secure reality. This is Prudovsky's first full-length movie.
Three other Israeli films will also be shown during the prestigious festival: Zippi Brand Frank's Google Baby, Haim Tabakman's Eyes Wide Open and Elia Suleiman's The Time That Remains.
