Shmulik Maoz's Lebanon, which will compete in the Venice Film Festival next month, has just been invited to participate in another film festival in the US. The New York Film Festival, organized by the Lincoln Center, is considered a "boutique" festival, as it focuses on ground-breaking films. Past participants include Mike Leigh's Secrets & Lies, Breaking the Waves by Lars von Trier and Ari Folman's Waltz with Bashir.
