Readers pick best Jewish book A $5,000 award is being offered for the best Jewish fiction of the last decade. An online vote will decide the winner of the People's Choice Award, the newest category of the Koret International Jewish Book Awards. Readers may nominate their favorites at before June 14. Finalists will be selected by judges, and the public will vote again to decide the winner. The book must have been published between January 1995 and December 2004. This year's Koret awards - including the People's Choice winner - will be presented at ceremonies held in San Francisco and New York this November to kick off national Jewish Book Month. The Koret awards are managed by Jewish Family & Life in cooperation with the National Foundation for Jewish Culture. - JTA Another cash cow for Oprah Oprah Winfrey has signed a record breaking deal to write a new book about weight control. The talk show host and media mogul has reportedly received an advance in excess of the $12 million former US president Bill Clinton received for his autobiography, My Life, in 2004. The deal, said to be the biggest ever signed for a non-fiction work, was announced at the annual Book Expo America in Washington. Oprah, 52, signed the deal with Simon and Schuster and the book will be published early next year. She will be working on the book with her fitness trainer Bob Greene, who is a frequent guest on her talk show. - JPost staff Bohadana is 'royalty' Model Miri Bohadana was recently chosen to be the face of Royalty jewelers. She'll receive $100,000 for the year-long gig. Royalty Jewelry is among the oldest jewelers in Israel with some 45 stores located throughout the country. Bohadana has been modeling since the age of 15. She was elected first runner up in 1995's Miss Israel contest and third runner up at the Miss World contest.
