The 20th annual Ophir Award film competition is beginning Sunday as 25 films and 42 documentaries vie for the title of Best Film, according to the Israeli Film and Television Academy. This year's competition features the highest number of participants so far. The voting will be held in two rounds: one after all of the films have been screened, and the other after the list has been narrowed to five movies - one in each category - based on the first vote. The finalists will be announced at the end of July, with the winners being named at the end of September. The winner of Best Film will represent Israel at the American Academy Awards in the Foreign Film category.
