Sundance fest to include Israeli film

Eran Merav's Zion and His Brother, starring Ronit Elkabetz, Reuven Badalov, and Tzahi Grad, will have its world premiere at Sundance.

The lineup for the 2009 Sundance Film Festival was just announced and an Israeli film will be in the World Dramatic Competition. Eran Merav's Zion and His Brother, starring Ronit Elkabetz, Reuven Badalov, and Tzahi Grad, will have its world premiere at Sundance, the premiere showcase for independent film. This year's festival runs from January 15-25 in Park City, Utah. Two years ago, Dror Shaul's Sweet Mud took the top prize in this category. The lineup in several categories, including short films, has yet to be announced, so it's possible that other Israeli movies will also be going to Sundance.
