Hollywood agent David Lonner of the William Morris Agency, along with a group of the movie industry's top movers and shakers, will hold a Master Class for aspiring filmmakers at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday night at the Tel Aviv Cinematheque.
The group is visiting Israel as part of an initiative by the Los Angeles Jewish Federation and the Tel Aviv-Los Angeles Partnership.
Lonner, who represents directors such as as Brad Bird (Ratatouille), visited and led the Master Class for the first time last year. This year, the delegation will include Davis Guggenheim, the director of An Inconvenient Truth, the Oscar-winning film inspired by Al Gore's campaign to alert Americans to the menace of global warming, Amy Pascal chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment Motion Picture Group, producer and executive Nina Jacobson, Mark E. Platt, producer of Legally Blonde; Donald De Line, former president of Paramount and producer of the upcoming film, The Brazilian Job; Brad Silberling, director of Lemony Snicket: A Series of Unfortunate Events; Bernard Weinraub of The New York Times, and George Freeman, an agent who represents, among others, Russell Crowe.
Tickets cost NIS 20, but with this group of powerful movie pros, they're likely to sell out fast.
