Kids love the new fun ice creams by Nestl , especially the "Strawberry Head," which is strawberry ice cream that comes out of the top of the cone as pink colored hair when you twist the stick at the bottom. Also cute and yummy are the fruit flavored ice creams in the shape of the cartoon character Garfield, and for those who love Superman, there are the Pirolo ices, with a sticker inside as a bonus. The Strawberry Head is NIS 4.20, the Garfield ice cream is NIS 3.90 and the Pirolo Superman is NIS 4.
Ahla is expanding its line of lite salads, and now also has three variations of reduced-fat humous salads, containing 14% fat, which is one-third less fat than the regular humous salads. The three varieties are plain humous, humous with pine nuts and humous and tehina; the lite humous salads are NIS 12-14 for a 500 gr. container.

Telma's Cocoman has a new addition to its chocolate flavored breakfast cereal: Cocoman Extra, with a rich chocolate flavor. The company is also launching a Web site: www.cocoman.co.il, with activities and prizes to be won; a 400 gr. box of Cocoman Extra is NIS 16.
Pita bread is liked by most kids, but it doesn't have much nutritional value. The Davidovitz bakery is now marketing special pita bread for kids with added vitamins and the minerals calcium and zinc; a five-pack of Pita Kid is NIS 7.55. Other healthier pitot by this bakery are those with Omega-3 fatty acids, which supposedly are good for the heart and blood vessels.
If you don't want the caffeine that's in coffee, you might consider the Leroux chicory drinks, a surrogate for coffee. The chicory drinks are healthy and contain minerals such as magnesium and potassium, and supposedly help lower blood pressure. The Leroux chicory instant drink is available in the flavors natural, hazelnut and caramel; a 100 gr. jar is NIS 24.10.
