Buffalo Springfield leader Furay to headline Woodstock

Fourth annual Woodstock Revival festival takes place in Jerusalem at Kraft Stadium on August 2.

Country rock legend Richie Furay will be the featured performer at the fourth annual Woodstock Revival festival, taking place in Jerusalem at Kraft Stadium on August 2.
Furay, along with Neil Young and Stephen Stills, cofounded the 1960s supergroup Buffalo Springfield. His sweet tenor provided the lead vocals for some of the band’s most lasting songs, including “Child’s Claim to Fame” and “Kind Woman.”
Following the Springfield’s breakup, Young and Stills found greater fame with Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, but Furay also thrived, forming the upbeat country rock band Poco, a prime influence on the Eagles.
Furay eventually turned to religion and became a minister, but has continued to perform throughout the decades, including taking part in a well-received reunion of the Springfield with Stills and Young last year.
Also appearing at the Woodstock reunion this year are return performers Geva Alon, Libby and the Flash and Crystal Ship, among others. The show is presented by AFI (American Football in Israel) and 2b Vibes.
