American soul, hip hop and R&B artist Erykah Badu has announced an Israel a stop on her worldwide tour to promote The Kabah, her sixth album. The Grammy winning singer will perform one show only at Tel Aviv's Convention Center (Ganei HaTa'arucha) on Saturday night, February 2 at 9 p.m. Badu will be joined by her 8 member band and will perform some of her best known hits. Baduizm, Badu's highly acclaimed debut album, was released in early 1997 and eventually went triple platinum. She's received notice for her introspective lyrics and jazzy, bass-heavy sound - not to mention her very large headwraps. Badu has a son named Seven born in 1997 with ex-partner Andre 3000 of OutKast fame. She is also mother to Puma, born in 2004. The father of her second child is West Coast rapper The D.O.C. She also dated rapper Common from 2000 to around 2003. Badu is also an actress and serves as an activist for inner city youth in South Dallas where she grew up.
