Israeli chosen for Berklee Jazz Institute

As a member of the institute, Hai will be mentored by jazz masters like Perez and Joe Lovano and perform in cities around the world.

Holon saxophonist and Berklee College of Music student Eyal Shmuel Hai has been chosen as an inaugural member for the Berklee Global Jazz Institute (BGJI).
The center, directed by world-renowned pianist Danilo Peres, is designed to foster creativity and musicianship through various musical disciplines. Students may pursue a performance degree, diploma, or a two-year certificate through the institute.
Hai, currently majoring in performance at Berklee, studied at the Academy of Music and Dance in Jerusalem and the Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music.
As a member of the institute, Hai will be mentored by jazz masters like Perez and Joe Lovano, travel to cities around the world to perform at festivals, teach children, and explore music's power to promote social change.
