JSO tangoes up with Piazzolla

Joining the JSO will be soprano Rinat Goldman and the Pitanga tango quartet.

The Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra (JSO), under the baton of Maestro Yerucham Scharovsky – a native of Argentina – is set to perform a concert of Latin-American classics, including the world premier of a full symphonic arrangement of Astor Piazzolla’s Four Seasons of Buenos Aires, which was originally written for a tango quartet.
Joining the JSO will be soprano Rinat Goldman and the Pitanga tango quartet. The program also features pieces by Villa-Lobos, Moncayo and other South-American composers.
The JSO tangoes at the Kfar Saba Civic Center, February 10, 8:30 p.m., and at the same time two days later at the Henry Crown Hall in Jerusalem.
