Pop star Rihanna is set to take Tel Aviv by storm Tuesday night, playing in Israel for the second time.
Rihanna will play for 50,000 fans, who she calls her "navy," in the Yarkon Park as part of her Diamonds Tour, supporting her latest album, Unapologetic.
The rebellious singer is known for her audacious attitude and even more unconventional fashion choices, as well as strong vocals on albums always packed full of dance tracks.
Rihanna is performing in Israel despite a campaign by the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement to pressure her to cancel the show.
However, according to an article in Variety magazine last week, the singer had no intention of backing down and is prepared for the media backlash.
Meanwhile, Rihanna courted plenty of controversy on other stops in her world tour.
A bar owner in Phuket was arrested in connection with illegal sex shows after Rihanna tweeted about her experience to her over 32 million followers.
"Either I was **** wasted last night, or I saw a Thai woman pull a live bird, 2 turtles, razors, shoot darts and ping pong, all out of her vagina," Rihanna tweeted on September 20.
Two other men were arrested in Thailand due to Rihanna's social media use. The singer posted a photo of herself holding a slow loris, a protected primate, on Instagram and the police cracked down on local wildlife tours.
