The five-day Yemei Zemer (Days of Song) Festival will feature veteran Israeli singers alongside the new generation of performers in a tribute to Israeli song. The festival, which will be held at the Holon Theater during Hol Hamoed Pessah (April 11-15), will present Lifetime Achievement Awards to composer Nahum Heiman and singer-songwriter Miki Gavrielov.
The central event will be The Tune is Coming Back, a show featuring the poems of Israel's finest writers set to music and performed by Gali Atari and Nurit Galron, along with Rona Keinan, Shlomi Shaban, Kobi Aflalo, Erez Lev Ari, Avraham Tal and others.
Aside from the long list of high-profile performers participating in the festival, Yemei Zemer will also host a photographic exhibition of Ra'anan Cohen's portraits of Israeli musicians - including Shlomi Shaban, Aviv Gefen, Idan Raichel and Dana Berger - and a singalong each evening at the theater's plaza.
