The Bedouin village that went to the Knesset

The Bedouin village that went to the Knesset
Ishmael Khaldi is an Israeli Bedouin whose inspirational story started off with him as a Shepard and eventually found him working for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He has spent time working in some of the toughest anti-Israel contexts imaginable and has taken more than his own fair share of abuse in the process. He is also an activist working for the development of his village Khawalid that he says lacks crucial infrastructure to function properly. After a mammoth campaign that included, petitions, meetings and social media  he has now got a meeting this week at the Knesset "Special Committee on Social Equality" to state his case.  The New Blue Review caught up with Ishmael to find out more about the issue.
