1 dead, 5 injured in Jerusalem tunnel accident

A 25-year-old man was killed and five others injured in an accident near the Gilo neighborhood after a cargo fell onto the road on Friday evening, Israel Radio reported.

Police said two cargoes fell from a vehicle and hit a jeep traveling behind the vehicle. The jeep driver lost control, veering off course and hitting a car traveling in front of him.

The driver of the cargo vehicle was detained, his license was revoked for three months and his vehicle confiscated.

Of the wounded, one is in serious condition, three moderate and one sustained light injuries.
