1 killed, 1 seriously hurt in separate Jaljulia shootings

One man was killed and another man was seriously injured in two separate shootings that police believe may be related in the Arab town of Jaljulia, near Kfar Saba, on Saturday night.

An approximately 30-year-old man was found shot and seriously injured in a vehicle at the entrance to Jaljulia on Route 444. MDA paramedics evacuated the man to Rabin Medical Center-Beilinson Campus in Petah Tikva.

Shortly afterward, an approximately 20-year-old man was found shot and critically wounded in Jaljulia. The man succumbed to his wounds while paramedics were evacuating him to Meir Medical Center in Kfar Saba.

Police believe the incidents may both be part of a conflict between local crime families.
