114 have drowned since beginning of swimming season

From the beginning of bathing season on May 9, a total of 114 people have been pulled out of the water and treated for drowning, and 21 have died, according to Magen David Adom. In addition to the dead, 10 were retrieved in serious or very serious condition.
MDA ambulance medics and paramedics treated 67 on Mediterranean beaches, five at the Dead Sea, one at Eilat, three at Kinneret beaches, one at Gan Hashlosha and the rest in private or public pools. During the six weeks of swimming season so far, lifeguards have worked shorter hours due to sanctions.
