15-year-old critically injured after stun grenade explodes in his hand

A 15-year-old teenager was injured after a stun grenade exploded in his hand, the Police Spokesperson's Office reported. 
The incident took place in an open field near the Arab city of Tamara in northern Israel. No other injuries were reported.
The teenager was evacuated in critical condition to the Rambam Medical Medical Center in Haifa.
Police officers on the scene are gathering findings and have opened an investigation.
