2 armed drug smugglers killed by IDF troops near Egyptian border

IDF troops shot and killed two armed Beduin drug smugglers overnight Tuesday near the Egypt-Israel border. The forces identified two suspicious figures walking in the Harif Mountain area. The unit followed protocol prior to firing at them, first calling out to the suspects, and then firing repeated warning shots. The two were armed with a knife and were found to be carrying 10 kilograms of heroin, nine kilograms of cocaine and a large amount of ecstasy pills. After shooting the suspects, the IDF treated them at the scene, and then took them to Soroka Hospital in Beersheba, where they died of their wounds.
