2 arrested for drug smuggling across Lebanon-Israel border

Israeli authorities arrested a man suspected of smuggling five kilograms of drugs from Lebanon to Israel, police stated Tuesday.
In a joint Israel Police- IDF Golani Brigade operation, operatives ambushed the suspect, a resident of Tuba Zanghariya, near the northern border and seized the drugs, worth more than NIS 200,000.
Upon further investigation, authorities arrested a second suspect, a resident of Rahat in his 40s, who was meant to receive the smuggled drugs and disseminate them within Israel. The Nazareth Magistrate's Court has extended the remand of the two suspects by five days.
