2 Drivers detained after

Security forces on Wednesday detained two trucks at the Kalandiya checkpoint north of Jerusalem that were carrying four tons of rotten meat, police said. The two truck drivers were detained and taken in for questioning. During the initial investigation, one of the drivers, a resident of east Jerusalem, said he had received a large sum of money to transport the meat to Israel and then rendezvous with another truck along the way to split up the cargo. Soldiers manning the checkpoint discovered the meat after they noticed a foul odor coming from one of the trucks.
