22-year-old Golani soldier killed by terrorists is named

The soldier killed in a firefight with terrorists during a multi-pronged attack north of Eilat was Staff Sergeant Moshe Naftali, 22 from Ofran, of the Golani Brigade's reconnaissance battalion, the IDF Spokesman cleared for publication on Thursday.

The soldier's unit was rushing to aid passengers in a bus that was under fire from terrorists when they engaged the terrorists. Naftali was killed in the fight.

IDF Spokesman Brig.-Gen Yoav Mordechai said earlier, "A Golani soldier was killed today during an exchange of fire with terrorists after the attack on the second bus, in which he was the only one killed."
