26 left-wing activists detained for entering closed military zone in W. bank

Twenty-six left-wing activists, including two foreigners, were detained on Saturday morning after they entered a closed military zone between Hirbat Saffa and Bat Ayin, in Gush Etzion. The IDF had closed off the area in order to prevent a confrontation between settlers and the activists, who were planning to help Palestinian farmers work their lands near the settlement. During clashes with soldiers, a left-wing demonstrator broke her arm and a Reuters photographer was lightly injured, according to Palestinian reports.
