Prison guards discovered an inmate who committed suicide in his cell in the Hadarim Prison in the Sharon area on Saturday. The 39-year-old man, who was arrested on suspicion of murder, used a sheet to hang himself from the ladder of the top bunk bed. IPS guards and medics tried to resuscitate him, but eventually pronounced his death. An IPS spokesman told Israel Radio that the man was not considered to be suicidal and therefore, was not under special supervision.
