52 new immigrants from North America arrive in Israel

Fifty-two olim (new immigrants) arrived in Israel from North America on Thursday, among them a professional soccer player, Nefesh B'Nefesh said.
One of the new immigrants, 70-year-old Geoffrey Rogg, recalled meeting Israel's first prime minister David Ben-Gurion during a trip to Israel in 1969. Rogg, a fundraiser for Israel was updating the former prime minister on his activities when Ben-Gurion asked him: "Young man, all I want to know is when are you coming to live in Eretz Israel?"
Another of the new arrivals, 23-year-old soccer player Genna Brand, was set to join Israeli national women's soccer champion team ASA Tel Aviv.
