6 more die in India cold wave; death toll stands at 26

A cold wave has killed six people in northern India since Saturday, according to Indian daily Doordarshan News. The deaths brings the total to 26 since the wave started in December.
Government officials decided to close schools until December 25 because of the cold. BBC reported that train services and the water supply have also been disrupted in certain areas.
