Altogether seven suspects - four of them Hapoel fans and the rest Maccabi fans - were arrested for taking part in the brawl at the courthouse and police said they expect more arrests to follow. Out of the 12 fans arrested at the gang last night, five were ordered kept in custody until Thursday, two until Wednesday, and four were banned from soccer games for the rest of the year. Another fan received a 60-day ban.
On Monday, a soccer match between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Tel Aviv was stopped midway when a fan burst on to the field and attacked a player. Minutes later, other fans stormed the field as well.
