9-year-old child injured by stray bullet in east Jerusalem

A 9-year-old child was hit by a stray bullet at the Ras al-Amud neighborhood of east Jerusalem on Friday, according to police.

The child was evacuated to the Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem and is in stable condition.

Police opened an investigation of the incident, and called a forensic team to the scene in order to identify the source of the stray bullet.
