President Reuven Rivlin on Wednesday honored veteran Mossad agent Avraham Barzilai, 90, who joined the institution in 1955 and took part in some extraordinary operations in his 60-year career.
At the president's residence, Rivlin and Mossad chief Yossi Cohen gave Barzilai his own small ceremony after ill-health kept him from the earlier ceremony for other prize recipients.
According to Israel Radio, Barzilai's career highlights included Israel's secret brought 80,000 Jews to Israel from Arab countries.
