Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas arrived on Thursday for a two-day visit in Turkey, where he is expected to meet with the Turkish president for talks about the Middle East peace effort.
According to the Turkish President's office, Abbas and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will meet later in the day. On Friday, he will hold talks with President Abdullah Gul and Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.
