Jewish Israeli students met with Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah on Sunday in an event organized by the NGO One Voice and the Knesset two-state lobby.
Abbas and the students discussed several topics relating to the ongoing peace process including water supply, Jerusalem, and Palestinian incitement.
"I admit that there is Palestinian incitement, which plagues chances of peace," he said. "But it can't be used as an excuse to not reach a deal."
He also stressed the urgency of a peace deal and received applause from the Israeli students when he said wants Jerusalem to be an open city, even though it would be the capital of Palestinian state.
