Activists: Death toll in Hama at 34, likely to rise

BEIRUT - At least 34 people were killed in the Syrian city of Hama on Friday when security forces opened fire on a demonstration calling for the overthrow of Syrian President Bashar Assad, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.
"Because there are many people who have severe injuries, I expect the death toll to rise," the Observatory's Rami Abdulrahman told Reuters.
"These figures are not from all the hospitals," he said.
